The cot is padded, has mesh sides that allow for more the airflow, and the mattress is made from high-density foam to provide extra protection. It's also washable and you can keep the crib clean. It is fitted with a mattress sheet that is suitable for the crib.
Unlike some other bedside cribs unlike other cribs for bedside use, the Roomie Glide is suitable for the majority of beds, including divans, thanks to its straps and clip attachment. It can also be used as a stand-alone crib if it is not attached to your bed and it's packed with features designed with parent-baby bonding in mind.
It is important to remember that this crib won't last as long as when your baby turns six months. You'll need to buy a bigger crib. However, overall Roanna thought that the Joie Roomie Glide was a very good purchase and she was particularly impressed by its sleek design.
John Lewis sells the Roomie Glide for PS160. Roanna thought this was a reasonable price for an item. She also liked how it was positioned in the bedroom and believed that the grey shade will work well in modern homes. However, she pointed that it's not an ideal idea to rock a smaller baby as it could set an unhealthy habit that can affect later sleep patterns.
The Tutti Bambini CoZee
The Tutti Bambini CoZee is an award-winning crib for bed designed to ensure a peaceful night's sleep in mind. It has a drop-side rail that is able to be easily lowered to feed your child during the night without disturbing them or causing them to get out of the bed. This is ideal for mothers who breastfeed! It's also lightweight, making it easy to move around the house during naps and when traveling.
We love the fact that it's made of soft fabrics with breathable mesh sides that promote airflow and ease of use. It's available in oak and charcoal and comes with a variety of melange fabrics that are compatible with all decor styles. Anna found that it was solid and secure when it was attached to her bed. The legs slid into place and the zippers were secured to ensure security. It took her around 10 minutes to assemble it and didn't require any tools, with clear instructions and a video or support contact number should you encounter any problems.
In addition to the standard features you'd expect from a bedside crib that include the ability to attach to your existing bed using a stay-in-place connection system and six levels of height The CoZee also comes with an additional incline option which can be used to aid congestion or reflux in babies. It can be turned into a sofa bed by the addition of an extension pack. It will not feed your baby or magically put them to sleep it will rock them until they go off!
The Chicco Next2Me Magic
This is one of Chicco's more expensive options, but it has a wide array of features. It's designed to function as a side sleeper or standalone crib, and is suitable for babies up to six months. It has a new mechanism for opening and closing the side panel, and is easy to operate even with one hand. It's also more flexible than its predecessor with 11 different height levels as well as feet that retract to installation under any bed.
Our testers loved the ease of access to the side panel, which can be moved up and down by pressing one button. This was particularly useful in the evening when feeding time was over, since they could reach in and pick up their baby without waking them.
It is possible to lower the side panel by itself but this is not advised, as it increases the risk that your child will fall out of the cot. But, the patented safety locking mechanism ensures that it will only remain in place when it is attached to the bed of the parent correctly. This feature is fantastic for peace of mind if you're breastfeeding and require frequent night feeds.
The Chicco Next2Me Magic is designed to be compatible with any bed that includes divan bases as well as beds with drawers, thanks to the telescopic legs. It also comes with tilting functions for babies with reflux and a rocking mode to help them sleep after feeding. It's also incredibly large and has excellent ventilation thanks to its mesh sides.
Our test participants found the Next2Me Magic easy to set up and use, although it comes with an extensive instruction manual. It's a bit heavier than other side-sleepers but it can still be easily moved from one room to another. It's also small enough to fit into a travel bag when not in use, which is a plus if you need to transport it. The only downside our testers noticed was that the side panel didn't flex like some of the other models, making it slightly harder to observe your child from your own bed.
The Shnuggle Air
If you're looking for a crib for your bed that will expand with your child then the Shnuggle Air is definitely worth a look. It's a co-sleeping crib that is securely attached to your bed and can be turned into a chic cot when your baby is old enough. Perfect for nighttime feedings and enhancing your bond with your newborn.
Unlike some other models of bedside cribs like the Shnuggle Air is built with breathability in mind. Its dual-view mesh side panels and breathable, hypo-allergenic airflow mattress maximise airflow to keep your baby cool and comfortable. The gentle incline helps ease reflux and colic. The zip-down side lets you to feed your baby, or even comfort them during the night.
The conversion kit for cots (sold separately) is also well-designed, with clear instructions and everything you need to begin. It took us around an hour to assemble, and was relatively simple. The only issue was the absence of captions written on a few of the images, which made it difficult to comprehend certain steps. Overall, the procedure was easy and the materials used were of high quality.
In bedside co sleeper -sleeping position, we discovered the Shnuggle Air to be an excellent choice for breastfeeding mums and women who have had a c-section since it allows them to easily reach out to their infant for feeding and comfort without having to climb out of their bed. It's also great for those who want to avoid the hassle of getting in and out of a traditional cot, or placing their baby down to sleep.
The motion of gliding was found to be very beneficial in lulling babies to sleep following feedings during the midday or at night. The drop-down side can be easily accessed to feed or calm babies in the middle of the night this was a huge selling point for our exhausted test mums. The Joie Roomie Glide is a elegant and practical crib that isn't rocking, or have extra features such as a sound machine.
